Struggling to find a dentist in Newcastle right now?
A number of dental practices in the North East (including several in Newcastle) currently have additional and dedicated appointments for patients with the highest and most urgent clinical needs. You may be eligible for these appointments for a number of reasons, for example: if you are experiencing pain or swelling; if you are particularly vulnerable for medical or social reasons; or if your dental problem could cause severe negative consequences if left untreated.
If you think you may be eligible for these appointments, you can find out more and contact any of the participating practices listed on this page.
If you have an emergency or urgent dental issue which needs to be managed within 24 hours, call NHS 111 or contact NHS 111 online. If you are eligible, they will arrange for you to be seen by an urgent care service provider. NHS 111 can also be contacted out of hours for emergency or urgent dental issues.
You should visit A&E if you experience severe pain, heavy bleeding, or injuries to the face, mouth or teeth.
